The Combat Vehicles line of business within the Platforms & Services (P&S) Sector of BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the assembly of armored military vehicles. As a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where you can apply theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills.
In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our York, PA facility. This position will be onsite at our York facility. Relocation will not be offered and housing is not provided.
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will:
+ Develop and Modify assembly and/or fabrication work instructions from engineering technical data using PTC Creo models
+ Work with Manufacturing Engineering and bargaining unit employees to validate manufacturing processes and document within work instructions
+ Work with Manufacturing Engineering and bargaining unit employees to troubleshoot technical challenges on the manufacturing floor
+ Maintain configuration control of work instructions in both electronic and hard copy repositories
+ Maintain a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies
+ Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields
+ Basic literacy in industry-specific software such as: CREO, CAD, etc
+ Highly organized and detail oriented
+ Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
+ Strong communication skills for both oral and written presentations
+ Ability to work in a shop floor environment to support manufacturing needs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Mechanical, electrical or weld engineering courses
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $45526 - $61491
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
