BAE Systems Countermeasures & Electromagnetic Attack (CEMA) Solutions business area in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) to support the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line. As an industry leader in EO/IR and RF technologies, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.
In this role, the PEM will support a strategy role through coordination of multiple projects to ensure system design, technical performance, and program dependencies are documented and understood. They will provide technical stewardship of the engineering effort for the entire program ensuring the solution meets customer programmatic and technical requirements within the allocated engineering cost and schedule. The PEM will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team working state of the art threat detection solutions to include the 2-Color Advanced Warning System (2CAWS) and the AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) products.
Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Collaboration with program management, engineering leadership and customers to understand the customer mission and needs.
+ Interfacing with customers to create opportunities, communicate our solutions, set expectations, and mange scope.
+ Management of all engineering activities required to deliver and support critical mission capabilities.
+ Meeting cost, schedule and technical performance for projects through their life cycle.
+ Preparation and approval of competitive engineering bids that are executable, meet established price-to-win targets, and grow the business.
+ Development and maintenance of measures related to engineering performance.
+ Proper application of process based on the size and complexity of the project.
+ Planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination.
As a leader, the PEM must also:
+ Work across organizational boundaries to solve problems and secure resources.
+ Identify and support the development of critical skills and resources.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s degree and Minimum 10 years' work experience in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science including technical leadership experience and capabilities relevant to the business
+ Requires qualified candidates to hold an active Secret security clearance
+ Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
+ Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business
+ Experience with project estimation, schedule & resource planning, project execution & tracking and earned value management
+ Experience with leading/developing engineering proposals
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience leading cross functional teams
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ CAM experience on externally reported programs, strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems
+ Proven ability to work in large teams with a self-starting approach.
+ Experience in managing scope in dynamic environments with shifting priorities
+ Familiarity with agile development concepts
+ Familiarity with model based systems engineering
+ Experience with all phases of program execution from proposal to sustainment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
