    The role you'll contribute:

    Responsible for overseeing the continual operation of a specified nursing unit to ensure high-quality patient care and services. This position demonstrates critical thinking, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in delivering services to the patient population. Additionally, this position monitors the quality of care delivered to patients, administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and ensures effective stewardship of resources. Responsibilities for this role include acting as a change agent, implementing necessary changes in collaboration with the Manager/Director, and maintaining respectful relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other contacts.

    + Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.

    + Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs.

    + Assess patients' conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address any complications.

    + Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.

    + Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.

    + Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.

    + Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

    Minimum qualifications:

    + Associate of Science degree in Nursing

    + Current State of Florida or Multi-State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

    + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    + Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

    + One (1) or more years charge nurse or relevant leadership experience

    + One (1) or more years of nursing experience within the acute care setting
