When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealths mission in the communities we serve.

As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for maintaining a therapeutic and business management philosophy, including program development, labor analysis, standards of practice, staffing needs, process improvement, and revenue management. This position provides direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients in rehabilitation settings as needed. Additionally, this role facilitates staff development by re-evaluating performance, coaching, and counseling staff. In addition, this position manages multidisciplinary licensed staff, technicians, clerical staff, interns, and volunteers, overseeing patient care assignments, scheduling, and daily operations related to clinical, team, market, service, and finance. Additionally, this role ensures staff adherence to corporate compliance plans, policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities for this role include actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all.

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ Responsible for daily operations including active involvement in clinical and service rounding.

+ As required, assists with patient care within scope of practice, following the specific duties and responsibilities outlined for PTA/OTA/ATC staff.

+ Monitors department metrics, process improvement initiatives, both clinical and operational, documents results, creates action plans and deploys to staff.

+ Acts as a liaison between the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine program and other hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient families to investigate, respond to, and resolve complaints.

Qualifications

+ 5 healthcare experience [Required]

+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

+ Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) [Required] OR

+ Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) [Required] OR

+ Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) [Required]
