About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Control & Logistics Supervisor will lead a team of material personnel for tasks related to receiving, storing, inventorying, and shipping materials, tools, equipment, parts, government property and customer acquired property\. The Logistics Supervisor has high visibility across the organization and works with cross functional teams in the Integrated Supply Chain, Engineering, Program and Finance departments\. This position is a “working supervisor” position in nature, during which the supervisor is expected to conduct material movement transactions and assist their team with daily functional tasks\. The supervisor will work with the Director of Operations to forecast manpower needs and staff their team accordingly to meet increasing logistics needs as the business continuous to grow\. This position provides an opportunity for the selected candidate to build leadership skills for future management roles\.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the leadership of a team of nonexempt employees who engages in handling of merchandise in the stockroom and receiving dock, transporting material internally between buildings and work areas, and shipping material to our customers\.
* Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors\.
* Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness\.
* Leverage Sales and Operating Planning methodologies to optimize balance between demand and supply\.
* Ensure compliance and execution associated with company Quality Management Systems\.
* Plans, organizes, and assigns the workflow of the team which is consistent with the employees abilities and ensures that safety and quality standards are met, and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods\.
* Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems\.
* Provide a strong focus on developing talent throughout the organization\.
* Evaluates daily, weekly and monthly performance metrics and develops any mitigations or corrections needed\.
* Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures \(to include annual cycle counts\), and to determine adequacy of stock levels\.
* Provide input in the establishment of long\-term strategic objectives, facility plans and recommend what is needed to achieve those objectives\.
* Perform other job\-related duties as assigned by management\.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of related experience\. Hands\-on experience in shipping/inventory industry is preferred\.
* Experience of one\(1\) year as a leader\.
* Bias for action and quickly resolving difficult problems\.
* Able to creatively achieve mission objectives while maintain compliance and the highest standards of quality\.
* Variation Reduction and Waste Elimination skills\.
* Able to work autonomously, with limited direction\.
* Possess an understanding of manufacturing principles \(i\.e\. current inventory, materials control, and MRP/JIT processes\)\.
* Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite \(Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel\)
* Excellent organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal skills

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs\. The pay range should be used as a general guide only\. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations\.
In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is
$80,500 \- $121,100 per year\.
