    PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a skilled **Maintenance Operating Engineer** to support commercial facility operations in Oxford, Ohio. In this role, you’ll help ensure building systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably. If you’re experienced in HVAC and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, this is a strong opportunity to grow your career.

    Requirements

    • HVAC certification; 3–5 years of relevant experience

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Some mandatory overtime

    • Nice to have: construction or electrical background, forklift certification, dock and door maintenance, crane/hoist experience

    Summary

    The Operating Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple systems. Candidates should demonstrate technical expertise in at least one core craft area—Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations—while being multi-skilled enough to support additional systems and daily assignments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain, repair, and monitor Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire/Life Safety, and Control systems

    • Support facility services, preventive maintenance, inventory control, contracted maintenance oversight, and general maintenance tasks

    • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace parts on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance

    • Record equipment readings and make adjustments as needed

    • Follow all policies for safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials

    • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and ensure tools/instruments are checked periodically

    • Evaluate performance and pricing of outside contractors

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and proactively address hazards

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • 2–4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems

    • Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot Commercial/Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems

    • EPA 608 Type II Certification

    • Working knowledge of Word and Excel

    • P.Eng license not required

    Preferred:

    • EPA 608 Universal Certification

    • Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, or HVAC

    **Pay Details:** $31.00 to $33.00 per hour
