    We are looking for a Creative & Content Procurement Global Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and partnership management across our creative, content, and production ecosystem. In this global role, you will be responsible for building smarter, stronger, and more sustainable partnerships with creative and production agencies — empowering our business to unlock creativity, innovation, and efficiency across Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Consumer Health. You will play a key role in shaping how creativity is valued, sourced, and scaled globally, ensuring that our partners are not just suppliers but true collaborators driving growth and brand impact.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The primary responsibilities of this role, Creative & Content Procurement Global Category Manager, are:

    + **Category Strategy & Global Leadership to create impact**

    + **Undertakes complex spend analysis, spots patterns, trends and opportunities and makes recommendations** for new project and commercial / legal improvement opportunities for the Creative and Content category.

    + Works with various stakeholders to **shape and articulate complex business needs and outcomes across Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Consumer Health.**

    + **Design category and sourcing strategy to support business impact.** Ensure alignment across business units while adapting strategies to the unique creative and regulatory needs of each sector.

    + Drive transformation in how we engage creative and content partners — Integrate **AI-driven content creation** , **data analytics** , and **in-house capabilities** into future sourcing models.

    + Identify and implement new partnership and **commercial models that enhance agility, innovation, and ROI.**

    + **Partner & Ecosystem Management**

    + Build and manage a diverse portfolio of creative, content, and production partners, spanning global agencies, boutique studios, and internal teams.

    + **Foster high-performing, trust-based relationships** that encourage collaboration, experimentation, and creative excellence.

    + Lead **contract negotiations, performance reviews, and value creation initiatives** across all key agency relationships.

    + **Industry Connectivity & Market Intelligence**

    + **Stay deeply connected to global creative industry trends** , including the evolution of AI, automation, in-house production, and emerging agency models.

    + **Continuously benchmark external partners, pricing, and capabilities** to ensure competitiveness and innovation across the ecosystem.

    + Represent the company at industry forums, leveraging market intelligence to guide strategic decisions and future-proof our creative sourcing approach.

    + **Cross-Functional Business Partnering**

    + **Act as a trusted advisor** to global Marketing, Brand, and Communications teams, **ensuring procurement supports both creative ambition and commercial excellence.**

    + Collaborate closely with our marketing team, as well as media and in-house teams to **establish efficient, scalable, and AI-enhanced production frameworks.**

    + Translate marketing objectives into actionable **sourcing strategies that balance creativity, cost, and speed-to-market.**

    + **Sustainability & Responsible Growth**

    + Embed sustainability an ethical business practices across all creative and production partnerships.

    + Champion responsible content creation — promoting transparency, fair remuneration, and environmentally conscious production.

    + Drive initiatives that contribute to both creative performance and responsible business impact.

    + The primary location for this role is Whippany, NJ or St. Louis, MO.

    + Visa sponsorship may be offered for this role.

    WHO YOU ARE

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience;

    + Significant experience in procurement or sourcing within marketing, creative, media, or content categories, ideally with exposure to multiple business sectors (e.g., healthcare, consumer, agriculture);

    + Strong understanding of creative processes, content production workflows, and emerging in-house or AI-enabled models;

    + Proven track record in strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and global agency management;

    + Deep knowledge of industry dynamics and market trends, with connections to agencies, production companies, and creative technology innovators;

    + Ability to work across diverse business environments with strong influencing and communication skills;

    + Strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset, balancing creativity and commercial discipline;

    + Passion for creativity, innovation, and the evolving intersection of AI, content, and brand performance;

    + Ability to draft contract terms from a standard template and negotiate contractual terms, ensuring the application of principles of contract law in procurement;

    + Ability to write implementation plans, communications, and create business plans.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing within marketing, creative, media, or content categories, ideally with exposure to multiple business sectors (e.g., healthcare, consumer, agriculture).

     

    This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of creative and content procurement at Bayer, driving innovation and fostering impactful partnerships that align with our commitment to sustainability and responsible growth.

     

    This posting will be available for application until at least 12/1/2025.

     

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $134,368 to $201,552. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).

     

    Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
