    Job Summary

    The Neuroendocrine Tumor ( NET ) Clinical Program and Research Initiative at Huntsman Cancer Institute, under the direction of Dr. Heloisa Soares, is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to support translational and clinical research efforts in neuroendocrine cancers. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative research focused on improving the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of NETs through data analysis, biospecimen-based studies, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

    Responsibilities

    * Assist with the design and execution of translational research projects involving tumor biology, biomarkers, and patient outcomes.

    * Coordinate and manage research-related activities such as biospecimen tracking, data collection, and database development.

    * Collaborate with laboratory scientists and clinicians to support integrated research efforts across departments.

    * Contribute to literature reviews, abstract and manuscript preparation, and dissemination of research findings.

    * Support grant applications, research reports, and presentations for academic and scientific meetings.

    * Engage with institutional and external collaborators involved in neuroendocrine cancer research.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Two years of related experience, ability to use logic and reasoning to prioritize tasks, expertise using MS Office software, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Database experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred.

     

    This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.     Preferences

    * Demonstrated interest in oncology and translational research; experience with rare cancers is a plus.

    * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple research tasks.

    * Effective communication and writing skills for academic and scientific output.

    * Familiarity with research tools such as REDCap, basic statistical software, or bioinformatics platforms is desirable.
