Position Summary...
The Director of Indirect Tax (VAT/GST) will support the strategic management of indirect tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on tax planning, optimization, and risk management related to Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and similar consumption-based taxes. The successful candidate will develop and implement global VAT/GST strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring compliance while optimizing cash flow and effective tax rates.
What you'll do...
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute global VAT/GST planning strategies to support business growth, supply chain efficiency, and new market entry.
• Advise executive leadership and business units on indirect tax implications of corporate initiatives, including M&A, restructuring, and digital transformation.
• Monitor global VAT/GST legislative developments and proactively identify opportunities and risks.
Planning & Advisory
• Lead indirect tax aspects of cross-border transactions, supply chain planning, and business model optimization.
• Provide technical guidance on VAT/GST issues including registration, place of supply, input tax recovery, and tax determination.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and commercial teams to structure operations and contracts for optimal indirect tax outcomes.
Governance & Risk Management
• Establish strong indirect tax governance frameworks and controls across jurisdictions.
• Partner with compliance teams to ensure consistent tax policy implementation.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities where necessary.
Business Partnering
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, finance, and operations leaders on VAT/GST strategy.
• Support technology and automation initiatives related to indirect tax reporting and data analytics.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related
area OR 7 years’ experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
