+ **Radiology Technologist – Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Evening Shift**
+ **Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM**
+ **Compensation: $35.20 – $53.11 per hour base pay, PLUS a $3.50/hr Evening Shift Differential (Hiring rate is dependent on experience, education, and other factors).**
Job Summary & Essential Functions
You will be responsible for preparing and performing high-quality standard X-ray examinations, including portable and potential surgical procedures, utilizing your technical skill to ensure optimal diagnostic results.
+ **Prep the Environment:** Ensure the exam room is fully supplied and equipped to meet the needs of the requested procedures and specific physician requirements.
+ **Coordinate the Workflow:** Organize your daily work schedule efficiently and handle necessary clerical duties.
+ **Optimize the Exam:** Integrate the patient's previous imaging studies, lab results, history, and medical records to choose and perform the most appropriate examination. Consult with interpreting or ordering physicians as needed.
+ **Patient Connection:** Provide clear education and instruction to patients both before and after their exam, making them feel informed and comfortable.
+ **Troubleshoot and Adapt:** Demonstrate the ability to adjust the exam process and make decisions to resolve patient care problems as they arise.
+ **Safe Practice:** Perform all X-ray examinations while applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures.
+ **Maintain Safety:** Diligently apply the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) for radiation safety for yourself, the patient, and visitors. Evaluate female patients for pregnancy prior to the exam as indicated.
+ **Surgical Support** (If Applicable): May perform surgical X-ray examinations, strictly adhering to appropriate radiation safety measures and AORN standards.
+ **Team Support:** Provide training and education to staff and students as indicated.
Qualifications
+ **Education:** Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (Preferred).
+ Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet each patient’s need (Required).
+ PACS/RIS knowledge (Required).
+ **Credentials:**
+ ARRT-Radiology
+ Radiology Technologist - Washington State Licensure (Required).
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire).
+ **Skills:** Excellent verbal/written communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, organizational and analytical skills (Required).
