Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate staff development activities for respiratory therapy services.
+ Collaborate with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
+ Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
+ Serve as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
+ Participate in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.
+ Evaluate respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcomes.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
+ Four years Adult Critical Care experience heavily preferred
+ Exeptional computer skills, as well as organizational and communication skills are very essential. Ability to present is essential as well.
