    Novant Health Endocrinology is looking for an LPN!

     

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an essential member of the Novant Health healthcare team, providing patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care within our Endocrinology practice. This role fosters an authentic, personalized relationship with patients and their support systems while collaborating with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary partners to promote optimal health outcomes. The LPN delivers compassionate, high-quality care throughout the patient’s health journey and accepts accountability for all care provided under the direction of the RN-led team and in accordance with Novant Health policies, procedures, and clinical standards.

    What You'll Do

    + Provide direct clinical care and support to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other hormonal conditions.

    + Prepare patients for exams, treatments, and diagnostic procedures while ensuring safety, comfort, and understanding.

    + Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and symptom updates accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

    + Perform point-of-care testing, administer medications and injections, and assist with diabetes management (e.g., insulin administration, glucose monitoring) within LPN scope of practice.

    + Support care coordination by assisting with referrals, prior authorizations, medication refills, follow-up appointments, and patient education.

     

    What We're Looking For

     

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.

    + Experience: One year of relevant experience, required.

    + Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state LPN license, required.

    + Additional Skills (required): Computer skills, Phone call etiquette, Organizational Skills.
