General Summary

Performs a variety of duties to assist the Anesthesiologist/Nurse Anesthetist/Surgical team with clinical procedures. Prepares and sets up operating room with required supplies and equipment. Cleans equipment and rooms and restocks supplies and medications.

Essential Functions:

+ Prepares and sets up operating room with required supplies and equipment.

+ Cleans and stocks all operating rooms and supply carts with necessary anesthesia supplies and emergency drugs.

+ Cleans and sterilizes all equipment used in the administration of anesthesia.

+ Monitors departmental supply levels and orders supplies as necessary.

Common Expectations:

+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

+ Participates in educational programs and in-service/department meetings.

+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

+ Attends meetings as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

+ High School Diploma or GED Required

Licenses:

+ Certified Anesthesia Technician Upon Hire Preferred

Consistently noted as one of the most highly utilized outpatient surgery facilities in Pennsylvania, Apple Hill Surgical Center features 10 technologically advanced surgical suites, two procedure rooms, a private preoperative area, and a spacious recovery room. Not to mention a large comfortable reception and waiting room, a patient lounge and plenty of parking.
