The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for the medical needs of children, adolescents, and adults with a primary focus on children and adolescents. The position includes conducting formal and informal assessments, clinical interviews and developing treatment plans and medication regimens for clients with complex mental or emotional problems. Duties may include facilitating groups, conducting educational workshops and in service training for staff. The Physician Assistant will adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, professional standards, and state and federal requirements. The Part Time Physician Assistant is expected to participate only in weekday overnight call and weekend call; they are not expected to work during normal business hours on weekdays.
Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)
+ M. S. Physician Assistant
+ One to two years of clinical experience in family medicine or pediatrics preferred.
+ Must possess and maintain a valid, current and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania.
+ Must be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff and provide in a timely manner all related information as requested and needed for the credentialing and Human Resources employment processes.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license and CPR certification required.
