THE WORK
As a key member of our Test team, you will:
• Machining Support: Perform all composite material machining tasks in the Engineering Prototyping Center \(manual & CNC\)\.
• Fabrication & Assembly: Build rotorcraft scale models and composite test articles; assist senior technicians with static testing and environmental conditioning\.
• Mechanical & hydraulic Build out: Assemble, check out, and calibrate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation systems for model tests at Stratford Plant and off site facilities\.
• Metrology & Safety: Conduct metrology measurements and handle EH&S responsibilities as required\.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced with ASTM \(American Society for Testing and Materials\) standard static tests to evaluate material strength, durability, and elasticity per technical instructions
• Experience performing adhesive mixing, composite layup and curing
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and detailed composite ply books to ensure correct material orientation and stack up sequences
Desired Skills:
• Experience operating Static test Machines with thermal chamber and variable load cells
• Fabricate and prepare specimens to required sizes using 12 in\. wet saws and CNC precision grinders
• Proficient in prepreg and wet layup fabrication techniques, including vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing
• Assemble composite structures—set up, bond, and apply fasteners
• Program, troubleshoot, and operate autoclaves to produce high quality composite parts
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain specialized test equipment and data acquisition/control computers to ensure accurate, reliable results

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
