Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do The Principal Data Integration Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data integration strategies and solutions in support of CHA’s data modernization initiatives and other development roadmap projects. This role will be instrumental in architecting scalable, secure, and interoperable data pipelines that enable the advancement of CHA data programs.
+ Serve as the primary technical resource for interoperability frameworks, healthcare data standards, and data integration technologies.
+ Design and implement data integration solutions across diverse healthcare data sources and systems.
+ Define and maintain data integration standards, implementation guides, and best practices.
+ Engage in cross-functional data integration projects from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
+ Provide technical oversight for the implementation of external data integration solutions.
+ Design and build data pipelines using internal and external data integration solutions.
+ Evaluate and onboard external vendors and tools through proposals, pilots and assessments of performance, scalability, and interoperability.
+ Engage with hospital teams to understand data availability, system configurations, and integration capabilities.
+ Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders for complex issues in data integration solutions and data pipelines.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or related field or equivalent work experience.
+ 10+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, architecture, or interoperability, with progressively senior responsibilities and hands-on implementation of HL7/FHIR data pipelines, semantic normalization, and cloud-native data platforms.
+ Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and healthcare data standards (e.g., SNOMED, LOINC).
+ Experience with hospital EHR systems (Epic, Oracle/Cerner), hospital ERP systems (Workday, Peoplesoft), and healthcare data integration solutions (Rhapsody, InterSystems IRIS, LKOpera).
+ Experience with Microsoft Azure Services & Solutions (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Health Data Services).
+ Certifications preferred - HL7, FHIR, healthcare interoperability, health informatics, or equivalent.

More About CHA
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $112,000 Max: $200,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
