How You’ll Contribute:
The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the regional marketing communications strategy for the client's innovations and solutions, targeting audiences across the Personal Care Market.
This role will be responsible for the development of the NAR-based communications strategy and implementation of the tactics that align to global communications strategies for Personal Care, a strategic market within Consumer Solutions business. This individual must be a solutions-minded, collaborative team member that works well with a global team, across multiple global markets and is able to organize, prioritize and execute numerous ongoing initiatives.
It is critical for this individual to have a proven ability to develop and implement regional strategic communication plans and experience in managing traditional and digital communication programs including but not limited to media relations, advertising, thought leadership, virtual and in-person trade shows, customer communications, as well as digital and social media. Digital communication is an important part woven throughout the Integrated Marketing Communications Plans.
This role is based on-site in Midland, MI.
What You’ll Do:
Owns marketing communications strategies and budget for the Personal Care market in NAR:
• Responsible for developing and implementing communication strategy in NAR, aligned with global strategy for the Personal Care market
• Leads and organizes in-person and virtual tradeshows/conferences/webinars.
• Leads communication strategy and content for product launches.
• Develops and implements digital plans including content development, updates, literature publishing to websites, email marketing
• campaigns and social media efforts (both organic and paid campaigns)
• Develops messaging, facilitates creative advertising campaigns, and writes communications materials, including public relations
• materials (press releases, fact sheets, etc.)
• Partners with distributors and equipment vendors to ensure business communications alignment, provides guidance and evaluation for joined promotional activities
• Defines KPIs to track ROI
• Owns marketing communications budget in NAR for the Personal Care market and oversees agency management, including agency
performance and relationship management, etc.
• Communicates and collaborates regularly with the global Consumer Solutions communications team to ensure alignment with
global market and communications strategies and to leverage and share communications materials
What You’ll Bring:
Required Skills/Qualifications:
•Deep understanding of strategic communications and ability to translate business strategy into communications strategy and the respective promotional tactics
•Strong execution of key tactical components of a larger strategy with expertise in tradeshow and event organization
•Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and escalate among conflicting and large volume of demands; ability to perform well under pressure and within budget
•A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related fields
•Min 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing Communications
•Advanced communications and message delivery skills, based on clear understanding of target audience(s)
•Initiative and ability to work and make decisions autonomously
•Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
•Be familiar with digital communications programs and a large variety of different content marketing tools
•Ability to positively contribute to a team-building and collaborative work environment
•Key behaviors include initiative, resourcefulness, problem-solving, abundance and ownership mentality, collaboration, bias for action rooted in strategy
