    Physical Therapist Assistant – Full-Time & Per Diem

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The PTA will assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, supporting their recovery and functional goals. Full-time and per diem positions are available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing resident treatment plans.

    + Provide therapeutic interventions such as mobility exercises, strengthening, balance training, and gait activities.

    + Monitor and document resident progress, reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

    + Educate residents and families on exercises and safe mobility techniques.

    + Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

    + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

    + Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    + Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Iowa.

    + Experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation setting preferred.

    + Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.

    + Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and as part of a team.

    + CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.

    Work Schedule:

    + Full-Time: Monday–Friday, standard business hours (flexibility may be required).

    + Per Diem: Flexible scheduling based on facility needs.
