    As a **Security Officer - Armed - Hospital Patrol** in **Reading, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and clear communication. This armed position requires you to conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and respond professionally to any security-related situations, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

    What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.

    + Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required for an armed post in an industrial location.

    + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.

    + Interact with employees, visitors, and/or contractors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.

    + Remain alert and prepared to respond to alarms and/or emergency situations, following established protocols for an armed post.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

    + Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.

    + Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

    + A valid firearms permit is preferred.

    + Customer service experience is preferred.

    + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

    + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

    + Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

    + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

    + A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
