Amazon Photos helps consumers preserve and re-live their memories. The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and is one of the largest used Prime benefits in 8 countries around the world. Amazon Photos’ apps are available on iOS (4.8 rating), Android (4.7 rating), Web, Desktop, Fire Tablet & Fire TV. The service is also integrated into Alexa+ devices such as Echo Show and Fire TV and powers the ambient and AI-driven experiences on these devices. In 2025, the business released new natural language search, integrated with voice-based experiences on Alexa+ and is building a variety of AI powered experiences that are in the process of being released to customers.
We are hiring a Director of Product to join our senior leadership team leading all Product Management, Design and Product Marketing for Amazon Photos. This leader is responsible for collaborating with their team as well as UX and technical leadership to set the organization’s product vision and best practices, delivering innovative and customer-delighting photos experiences to millions of Amazon’s customers across mobile, desktop, and Amazon ambient devices like Echo Show and Fire TV. This leader is responsible for the product roadmap and organizational goal setting. The Director of Product for Amazon Photos is part of the senior leadership team of Amazon Photos and in addition to core Product responsibilities is also responsible for actively participating and contributing to setting the strategic direction of the business. This person will also be one of the leaders for the entire org mentoring employees from all functional areas and helping set the culture of the team. A key part of this role requires close collaboration with other senior leaders across Amazon, ensuring that Amazon Photos’ product strategy and program execution helps build toward innovative customer experiences that contribute to the Amazon flywheel.

You are an experienced leader with a track-record of leading teams that produce experiences that customers love. You have practical technical experience that helps you challenge your teams and engineering partners to set audacious goals and deliver results. Your super powers are Customer Obsession, Think Big, and Ownership, as you know how to strike the right balance between delivering on customers’ immediate needs while looking around corners to make sure we are inventing on behalf of customers. The right leader for this role will have a track-record of working cross-functionally with other senior leaders outside their organization. The right leader for this role will have a deep understanding of B2C products and customer lifecycles within digital and mobile products.
Basic Qualifications
15+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years leading scaled Product Management organizations
Track-record of delivering B2C experiences that customers love
Experience as a technologist, leading Technical Program and Technical Product Management teams
Senior leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $237,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
