RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop, and maintain distributed microservices using modern programming languages and frameworks.
* Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between services.
* Apply microservices design patterns such as service discovery, circuit breaker, and API gateway.
* Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy discussions.
* Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
* Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate services with Kubernetes.
* Deploy and manage microservices on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system visibility.
* Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
* Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams.
* Mentor junior developers and participate in peer code reviews.
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning efforts.
* Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to optimize deployments and infrastructure architecture.
* Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Implement unit, integration, and contract testing to ensure code quality.
* Conduct load testing and performance tuning of distributed systems.
* Debug and troubleshoot microservices and distributed system issues.
* Maintain high code quality through automated testing and review processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* 5-10 years of professional software engineering experience with exposure to IaaS or low-level system development.
* Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 5% of the time.
* Experience with Linux administration and internals, including systemd, boot process, and kernel tuning.
* Experience with custom kernel configurations or modules for embedded or hybrid hardware.
* Proficiency in debugging kernel/user-space interactions using tools such as strace, perf, dmesg, lsof, and sysctl.
* Deep understanding of PXE/iPXE, DHCP, TFTP, and UEFI/BIOS flows for hardware provisioning.
* Experience with hardware boot orchestration tools like Tinkerbell, MAAS, or Foreman.
* Familiarity with BMC interfaces (IPMI, Redfish), RAID setups, and hardware telemetry.
* Hands-on experience building immutable OS images (Talos, CoreOS, Yocto).
* Understanding of secure boot flows, disk encryption (LUKS), and TPM provisioning.
* Knowledge of disk cloning, partitioning, and custom OS deployment pipelines.
* Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Go or Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
* Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
