Summary About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Anniston Army Depot, Alabama. This position serves as Motor Vehicle Operator (Materials Handler) Leader. Supervise daily tasks, coordinating teams, ensuring the safe handling of explosives, and maintaining accurate records. I have strong skills in work order management, team supervision, safety compliance, and logistics. Responsibilities Ensure proper assembly, installation, or repair of components according to established standards. Ensure all movement complies with safety regulations. Ensure team members maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas. Ensure full compliance with safety regulations. Operate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines. Ensure daily work assignments are communicated to team members. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator (Materials Handler) Leader without more than normal supervision: receiving and relaying work instructions from a supervisor, ensuring availability of tools, blueprints, and materials; providing guidance on policies, procedures, and safety. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability to Operate Safely (Non-motor Vehicles) Operation of Motor Vehicles Reliability and Dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Work involves standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and handling of items. Muscular dexterity and mental, visual, and physical coordination is required in handling, loading, unloading and storing ammunition items. Frequently lifts items weighing up to 40 pounds and on occasion moves items weighing in excess of 50 pounds with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or with assistance from other team members. Work assignments involve a through knowledge of hazardous material handling, and related activities. Incumbent is required to successfully complete a variety of hazardous material classes Incumbent works on open docks, in igloos, warehouses, and enclosed cab of vehicle; is exposed to variable weather conditions and all types of traffic where there is the possibility of serious accidents; is subject to cuts, bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents when loading and unloading vehicles and Military Vans (MILVANS). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) 24- Logistics Career Field position.
