Job Title: Welder
•Pay Range: $22-28 based on experience and skills.
Shift Differential: $2/hour
Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individual to join our manufacturing operation division as a Welder. The role involves welding metal components to fabricate or repair products based on layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and various arc and gas welding equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Fuse or weld metal structural components together using arc welding in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
+ Perform welding operations requiring limited planning from blueprints or written specifications and determining operation sequence.
+ Utilize all safety devices and wear mandatory personal protective safety equipment.
+ Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.
+ Maintain and operate production tooling, fixtures, and welding equipment safely and securely.
+ Read and complete labor reporting systems, standard shop forms, and blueprints.
+ Perform minor welding machine maintenance (e.g., tips, liners, gas cups).
+ Use labor reporting systems, routing shop forms, and fill out move tags.
Essential Skills
+ At least two months of welding experience within the last two years.
+ Ability to read a measuring tape accurately.
+ Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Ability to communicate and interact positively with coworkers.
+ Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to pass an onsite welding assessment.
+ Ability to work over ten hours a week in overtime when required.
+ Steady work history with tenure at prior positions.
+ Safety-focused with the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
+ American Welding Society (AWS) welding certification from a recognized school.
+ Six months of previous hands-on welding experience in a professional environment.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints correctly without assistance.
+ Passion, integrity, and drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
+ Technical welding degree from a trade school is considered.
+ Experience with Pulse welding, MIG, and Flex core.

Work Environment
The work environment is heavy industrial, requiring jeans, steel toes with metatarsal covers, and a shirt. The campus is large, necessitating driving from building to building. Expect a noisy and sometimes dirty environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
