Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing receiving inspections and sampling of raw materials, monitoring startup inspections of Mixing, Production, and Packaging operations, and releasing finished products for inventory or shipment. Your inspections will focus on adherence to SOPs, accuracy, and quality of operations, and examining company records to verify information such as size and weight of the product and results of quality tests.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system, legal requirements, and conformity to specified standards.

+ Inspect shipping and packing facilities for adherence to standards.

+ Disposition stickers on materials and issue use cards when required.

+ Prioritize sampling, testing, and paperwork related to raw materials and in-process products.

+ Submit product and material samples to the laboratory for testing according to department procedures.

+ Stamp mark of approval or rejection on products and write examination reports.

+ Possess authority to stop any manufacturing process that is non-conforming.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in quality assurance and document control.

+ Familiarity with GMP standards.

+ Experience in the nutraceutical industry.

+ Data entry skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to neatly and accurately handle and record data.

+ Capability to perform job responsibilities under minimal supervision.

+ Trained in aseptic sampling techniques.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes, and airborne particles. Occasionally, you may encounter toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud, requiring diligence and attention to safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jurupa Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
