Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The role involves reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, assisting in the installation of both new and old production equipment, and performing equipment servicing and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLCs, HID and VFDs, control wiring, and troubleshooting, as well as a solid understanding of electrical systems including 480/120 volts.
Responsibilities
+ Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Assist in the installation of production equipment.
+ Perform equipment servicing and maintenance tasks.
+ Troubleshoot PLCs, HID and VFDs, control wiring, and electrical systems.
+ Install motors, gearboxes, bearings, and belts.
+ Ensure all production machinery is operational.
+ Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
+ Utilize hand and machine tools for machinery handling.
+ Conduct regular daily maintenance checks.
+ Process broken or damaged machine parts for repairs.
+ Prepare and maintain detailed preventative maintenance reports.
+ Adhere to plant safety regulations and industry guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ Journeyman Card or five or more years of electrical and maintenance craft experience in a heavy, industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Proficient with a voltage meter.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
+ Some PLC experience required.
+ Proven work experience as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Tech.
+ Complete knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
+ Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Good time management and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Fanuc Robot experience is a plus.
+ Gas train/furnace experience is a plus.
+ Dust collection/pneumatic conveying experience is a plus.
+ Ability to work under pressure and in stressful environments.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ A team player who can also work independently.
+ Must have an eye for detail.
+ Ability to offer excellent customer service.

Work Environment
The work environment is non-temperature-controlled and can become extremely hot, similar to a foundry with furnaces reaching 2800 degrees. It can also be very cold during the winter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
