    Job Title: Maintenance Tech

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to handle preventative and corrective maintenance as well as installations on overhead cranes in various production and industrial facilities. This position requires travel to different business sites to install and service equipment, with overnight travel occurring 1-2 weeks per month. A valid driver's license is essential for operating company equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes.

    + Install cranes and related equipment in industrial facilities.

    + Operate hoists and forklifts to position and move equipment.

    + Perform fluid changes based on equipment usage.

    + Overhaul and test machinery to ensure optimal performance.

    + Occasionally fabricate or weld parts, braces, and guards as needed.

    + Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong experience in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

    + Experience with control panels is a plus.

    + Proficiency in diesel, electrical, hydraulics, preventive maintenance, and crane mechanics.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Welding skills.

    + Experience repairing and maintaining industrial, diesel, or agricultural equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Possession of a personal set of basic tools is preferred, with a tool reimbursement account available.

    + Valid driver's license with an insurable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – no more than 3 moving violations, no accidents in the last 3 years, no DUIs.

    + 2+ years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics or a related field.

    + Experience with high-powered electrical motors is highly beneficial.

    + Candidates from industrial or farm backgrounds, or recent graduates with a relevant degree, are encouraged to apply.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves traveling to customer sites throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota, with travel comprising approximately 70% of the work time and overnight stays about 50% of the time. Work hours are somewhat flexible but primarily during the daytime, with an expectation of 50 hours per week during spring to fall and 40-50 hours during fall to spring. Overnight accommodations are supported with a $175 per diem, and company discounts are available for lodging choices. The company covers 100% of the benefits for all health plans.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.

     

    • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employee and their qualifying dependents.

    • 401(k) contribution of 3% of gross wages paid by employer

    • Vacation Pay: 80 hours the first year of employment. Starts accruing day 1!

    • 8 paid holidays per year

    • Clothing allowance once per year

    • Boot allowance once per year

    • Tool Reimbursement of $45/week

    • Company vehicle provided, if qualified

    • Supplemental insurance available through Unum.
