General Laborer

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team at a dynamic fence and gate fabrication shop. The successful candidate will assist in various tasks including general cleanup, shop organization, pipe cutting, and fabricating support. They will also be responsible for loading and unloading materials from flatbed trucks. The role requires comfort with both indoor and outdoor work environments.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with general cleanup and shop organization.

+ Engage in pipe cutting and support fabricating activities.

+ Load and unload materials from flatbed trucks.

+ Operate forklifts for material handling.

+ Work collaboratively in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with general labor and construction.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Forklift experience is required.

+ Mechanical inclination and understanding of blueprints/schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a welder helper is advantageous.

+ Familiarity with fabrication and carpentry work.

Work Environment

The majority of work will be outdoors, and the role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50lbs. The work schedule is from 7am to 4pm, offering a consistent daily routine. Expect to engage in a variety of tasks as needed, promoting a versatile and collaborative work atmosphere

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
