Description

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer for a local CPA firm. This is a great opportunity with lots of flexibility in terms of schedule, hours, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide guidance on tax-related matters.

• Analyze financial data and documents to identify potential tax-saving opportunities for clients.

• Stay updated on changes in tax codes and legislation to ensure the accuracy of filings.

• Assist clients in resolving tax-related issues, including audits or discrepancies.

• Work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive client information.

• Ensure all documentation is organized and filed appropriately for future reference.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including C corporations and S corporations.

• Proven ability to handle client interactions professionally and effectively.

• Proficiency in tax preparation software and related tools.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

The client is open to someone with EITHER individual or corp tax return experience.

They can offer part-time or full-time hours.

Schedule can be flexible.

Pay : DOE - offers overtime pay if person is willing to work more hours

Start Date: Could onbaord someone as early as mid-December.
