Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Wilsonville, Oregon. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing vendor payments, ensuring accurate financial records, and resolving invoice discrepancies. This is a Long-term Contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify incoming invoices by comparing them with supporting documentation, identifying discrepancies, and securing necessary approvals.

• Review and reconcile credit card statements, ensuring all expenses are supported by proper documentation and approved by managers.

• Accurately input payables into the general ledger, assigning appropriate cost centers and expense classifications.

• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice issues, discrepancies, or price concerns, coordinating with internal departments as needed.

• Ensure timely vendor payments while maintaining precise and up-to-date accounting records.

• Troubleshoot and resolve common accounts payable errors to maintain smooth operations.

• Process and code travel and expense reimbursements in compliance with company policies.

• Handle vendor management tasks, including monthly statement reviews, resolving discrepancies, and managing credit applications.

• Maintain organized filing systems and perform administrative duties to support the accounts payable function.

• Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned to support departmental goals.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment processing.

• Strong knowledge of account coding and expense classification.

• Proficiency in coding invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment methods and check runs.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Solid communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in maintaining organized records and administrative functions.
