Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this Contract to potential long-term position, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities and ensuring the seamless operation of the purchasing department. Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing materials to support business operations.

• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently to meet organizational needs.

• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment.

• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions and vendor performance.

• Utilize Sage 100 software to track and manage procurement activities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures within the purchasing department.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.

• Provide regular updates and reports on purchasing activities to management. Requirements • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a similar industry.

• Strong understanding of purchasing functions, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships.

• Proficiency in using Sage 100 software for procurement-related tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and team collaboration.

• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in purchasing records and transactions.

• Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.

• Knowledge of inventory management practices and supply chain principles.
