Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. This role is pivotal in supporting the finance department during a busy year-end period, focusing on legal billing and accounts payable/receivable tasks. The position offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate with a detail-oriented team and handle specialized processes within the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with client-specific requirements.

• Manage billing operations using various portals and legal billing platforms.

• Collaborate with team members to address backlog and ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Maintain precise records for accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Utilize legal-specific software to manage billing tasks and streamline workflows.

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Provide regular updates to the finance manager regarding progress and challenges.

• Ensure all financial processes are completed within established deadlines and standards.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Familiarity with legal billing systems and client-specific invoicing processes.

• Proficiency in using billing portals and specialized software.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy periods.

• Prior experience in a law firm or legal billing environment is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of bank reconciliations and invoice coding.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
