    Department: Hatchery Live Operations

     

    Report to: Hatchery Supervisor/ Manager

    Description

    + This position is responsible for performing various tasks in the hatchery while following all Company Safety and Animal Welfare Policies. Primary responsibility is overseeing theEmbrextransfer process of the hatchery.

    + Oversee the egg transfer process.

    + Ability to mix vaccine by following the SOP.

    + Start up and Shut Down of transfer equipment.

    + Ability to keep up with vaccine and supplies inventory and let management know when vaccine or supplies need to be ordered

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization storage areas,embrexequipment, work area.

    + Document machine status and perform light maintenance as required.

    + All other duties as assigned by management.

    + Ability to lift 30lbs – 50lbs

    What You’ll Need

    + Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.

    + Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.

    + Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.

    + Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
