• Bus Monitor (Probationary)

    Sodus Central School District (Sodus, NY)


    General responsibility is to maintain bus safety by following the proper safety rules and procedures, and to assist the bus driver to maintain proper discipline.

    Job Qualifications

    + Must be a High School graduate or have possession of an Equivalency diploma, and be a minimum of 19 years of age.

    + Must have ability to work with children with special needs.

    + Must be physically fit and agile to pass mandatory New York State Education Dept. Bus Monitor/Attendant physical performance test.

    + 2 hour pre-service class required prior to working.

    + Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

    + Must have ability to work with confidential information.
