Who we’re looking for
The Toyota Motor Credit Corporation’s (TMCC) Accounting Operations team is seeking a skilled and highly experienced Senior Analyst, Accounting Operations. This role is ideal for a detailed oriented, analytical individual with an accounting background who has hands-on experience as a team lead and/or supervisor.
The primary responsibilities of this role are to ensure timely and accurate payments/receipts of TMCC’s obligations, general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry creation and to ensure a strong SOX/Risk control structure is maintained.
What you’ll be doing
+ Manage and review complex dealer payments and receipts.
+ Analyze and troubleshoot payment issues within AP/AR and affiliated systems.
+ Complete monthly close functions including expense accruals, suspense clearing, and transaction reclasses.
+ Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, AP&AR account aging reports, and flux analysis. Analyze reconciling activity by performing research and following up with appropriate departments.
+ Understand how various general ledger accounts are set up and statement of cash flows implications.
+ Support internal and external audit requests. In addition, maintain compliance with SOX controls.
+ Coordinate with various departments for required data support. Additionally, develop understanding of TMCC operations to troubleshoot inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
+ Provide leadership level support to offshore and internal team personnel.
+ Support various company initiatives, as well as departments projects, as a subject matter expert and tester.
+ Continue to lead process improvements within the function.
What you bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
+ Minimum 5 years’ financial and accounting experience
+ Knowledge of end-to-end AP/AR processes
+ Strong working knowledge of SAP, or other ERP systems
+ Strong problem-solving skills in closing process gaps and issue resolution
+ Proficiency with MS Excel; comfortable with analyzing large amounts of data
