Job Summary
Join the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as a Senior Data Quality Analyst, where you will be at the forefront of enhancing data integrity and information usability. This pivotal role supports our Data Quality Management program, ensuring that our data meets the highest standards for internal decision-making and evolving external demands. As a Senior Data Quality Analyst, you will collaborate with various partners across administrative and financial domains, applying modern data quality management principles.
Key Responsibilities** **Primary Duties & Responsibilities
+ **Data Validation & Analysis:** Perform comprehensive data and process validations for both recurring and ad hoc data loads and analytics to ensure data quality and integrity.
+ **Data Quality Standards:** Uphold and enforce adherence to data quality standards across the organization.
+ **Incident Resolution:** Address and resolve data quality incidents reported by data users throughout Cedars-Sinai.
+ **Proactive Monitoring: Develop and implement innovative data quality monitoring procedures and practices to actively determine and resolve data integrity issues.**
+ **Documentation & Support:** Innovate and lead efforts in documentation and support, advocating for excellence in quality, customer service, automation, and efficiency.
+ **Mentorship:** Provide guidance and mentorship to Data Quality Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
+ **Data Tools Utilization:** Leverage data quality tools to proactively identify and address data integrity issues.
+ **Documentation Creation:** Develop and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and data lineage documentation.
+ **Impact Analysis:** Assess and determine the business impact level for data quality issues.
Department-Specific Responsibilities: CDI Clinical
+ **Collaboration & Analysis:** Conduct ongoing analyses of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) data, collaborating extensively with CDI staff and leadership, and medical records coding staff.
+ **DRG Analysis:** Perform ongoing DRG analysis to identify problem areas, compile metrics, and serve as a subject matter expert on Clinical Documentation Improvement Software and Executive Dashboard.
+ **Data Review:** Analyze clinical documentation, coding data, and quality metrics to identify gaps and trends, generating metrics for CDI production, reporting, and analytic compilation.
+ **Report Generation:** Create and maintain reports within Enterprise Analytics for monthly reporting and ad hoc data queries to analyze trends, unit performance, and financial impact.
+ **Data Integrity Monitoring:** Ensure data integrity when extracting and reporting information for leadership review and validate documentation for appropriate DRG assignment.

Qualifications
Experience
•Analytical\Ability to demonstrates problem solving skills and recommends solutions
•3 years minimum in a data quality professional role
•Strong problem-solving skills and persistence to solve difficult problems.
•Communication - Ability to convey and/or receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats
•Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Project Management - Ability to promote and foster participation/collaboration among individuals and groups
•Ability to work in teams, ability to work independently, ability to follow directions, ability to manage completion of multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
•Experience using data quality tools (Informatica)
•Database programming experience such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, MS Access and SAS.
License/s
•Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner (CDIP) OR Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS): Certification, AHIMA, ACDIS Required
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, a quantitative discipline in science, Health Administration, Public Health or related healthcare field Required
