Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general accounting knowledge. The ideal candidate will handle high volume AP processing and work directly with project managers to support AP and additional accounting needs.
Responsibilities
+ Handle full cycle AP functions, including 3-way match.
+ Research and correct account discrepancies.
+ Process high volume manual AP invoices, averaging over 150 invoices per day.
+ Create lien waivers.
+ Receive, code, and process payments for all invoices.
+ Post AP and bank reconciliations as needed.
+ Analyze and manage payable accounts and variances.
+ Communicate directly with vendors and project managers to resolve discrepancies.
+ Support month, quarter, and year-end activities as needed.
+ Maintain GAAP compliance.
+ Participate in ad-hoc projects.
Essential Skills
+ Accounts payable expertise
+ Experience in invoice processing
+ Solid accounting knowledge
+ Proficiency with purchase orders
+ Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
+ Experience with 3-way match
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree preferred, but not required
+ Strong understanding of accounting functions and AP processes
+ Minimum 2-5 years of high volume AP processing experience
+ Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
+ Ability to meet strict deadlines and work with urgency

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
