Job Title: Benefits Coordinator
Schedule: Core hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to join our team. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic support, managing complex benefit programs and driving process improvements—especially during organizational changes such as mergers and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
+ Partner with vendors, brokers, and internal teams to optimize offerings and resolve issues.
+ Monitor benefit trends and utilization for cost efficiency and competitiveness.
+ Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other regulations.
+ Lead open enrollment processes and employee education sessions.
+ Manage benefit enrollments, reconciliations, and manual data entries with accuracy.
+ Close tickets in the benefits system and maintain data integrity.
+ Support M&A due diligence by analyzing benefit plans for design, cost, and compliance risks.
+ Prepare reports summarizing risks, integration opportunities, and alignment strategies.
+ Collaborate with legal, finance, payroll, and HRIS teams for smooth post-acquisition integration.
+ Oversee benefit transitions and communication planning for acquired employees.
+ Identify opportunities for automation and improved employee experience.
+ Ensure system accuracy and functionality within Oracle and Summit platforms.
+ Assist with audits, vendor reviews, and RFP processes.
+ Track KPIs and implement initiatives to reduce error rates.
Essential Skills
+ Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
+ Extensive experience in benefits administration.
+ Proficiency with Oracle systems.
+ Strong knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and retirement plan compliance.
+ Experience with acquisitions and managing multiple benefit plans.
+ Comfortable with manual data entry and ticketing systems.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in fast-paced industries.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
+ No direct reports, but must demonstrate leadership in process execution.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
