Compensation: $33.87 - $33.87/hour

Tessera is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Technician III – Safety to support our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing an effective safety program and ensuring all applicable safety standards are met . Your work will be essential in ensuring that contract requirements are consistently met and that high standards of safety performance are maintained .
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
+ Coordinate the development and implementation of company-wide safety programs such as defensive driving, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fire protection, OSHA safety, and post environmental compliance programs.
+ Plans, organizes, and provides Safety inspections for all assigned u tilities/facilities/areas.
+ Lead and mentor supervisors, foreman , and other safety representatives to help facilitate their safety-related duties, including the development of site-specific safety training programs, hazard-specific safety programs, and Activity Hazards Analysis.
+ Administer the safety inspection program and conduct inspections to ensure program compliance for company personnel and subcontractors.
+ Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and government health and safety standards and regulations.
+ Conduct accident/incident/injury investigations, and submit investigation reports to the Site Manager, Operations Manager, and Quality Control & Safety Manager in a timely manner , in order to identify root causes and determine how they might be prevented in the future .
+ Prepare objective written accident reports that describe discrepancies, and provides a root cause analysis
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma/GED is required .
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Control/Safety o r Facility Maintenance.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
+ Must be able to work independently and part of a team as required .
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
+ Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
+ May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
+ Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .
+ Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
+ A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
