    **Pay Range:** $64,221.00- $100,449.00

    SUMMARY

    The Transportation Operations Manager provides hands-on leadership for the dispatch and driving teams, ensuring that all deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role oversees daily transportation activities, guiding dispatchers, drivers, clerical staff, and routing personnel to achieve departmental service and performance goals. The Operations Manager adheres to the outlined operational direction, drives accountability, and fosters teamwork across all shifts to deliver exceptional store service. Working in partnership with the General Manager of Transportation, this position leads the frontline execution of the company’s transportation strategy.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Develop and maintain regular, holiday, and seasonal delivery schedules in coordination with warehouse operations.

     

    Oversee dispatch and driver scheduling, coverage plans, and vacation/benefit administration.

     

    Support driver engagement and performance through proactive communication and adherence to company standards.

     

    Monitor department metrics including on-time delivery, mileage related KPIs, driver productivity, and asset utilization.

     

    Generate performance reports and insights for the General Manager of Transportation to support operational decision-making.

     

    Identify trends and recommend corrective actions or procedural improvements.

     

    Ensure adherence to company policies, DOT regulations, and hours-of-service compliance.

     

    Provide occasional relief for Dispatchers and Routers.

     

    Promotes and adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.

     

    Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Previous Transportation experience or relative Logistics/Distribution experience required

     

    Bachelor’s degree preferred

     

    Basic understanding of NYS and Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.

     

    Excel experience necessary
