Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Occupational Therapist** to work at a facility in **Varnville, SC.** These are _registry_ positions with our company.
**Pay Rate:** $40 / hour
Work Calendar Days: 190
Hours per Day: 8 hours
Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of ccupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed professional of the healing arts. OT is responsible for directing the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the activities program. This includes the completion and/or directing/delegating the completion of the activities component of the mprehensive assessment; and contributing to and/or directing/delegating the contribution to the comprehensive re plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities, and interests/preferences of each student
Essential Job Functions
Completes student evaluation and plan of occupational therapy program care.
2. Demonstrates competency in the performance of student evaluations, cognitive, perceptual, sensory, motor coordination, prevocational function capacity, ADL, strength/range of motion, and home management assessments
3. Interviews student/family for program planning.
4. Selects testing and analysis and formulates long term goals and objectives.
5. Sets up and performs treatment plans.
6. Completes progress and summary reports
7. Completes documentation of service notes for students.
8. Responsible for assisting in the ordering and maintenance of supplies.
9. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA), confidential aff and district policies and procedures.
10. Ensures that all daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, schedules, and inventories are complete.
11 Contribute to the setting of standards and monitoring of measurable standards of care and be accountable for maintaining those standards.
12. Keep up to date with relevant clinical and professional developments in occupational therapy.
13. Demonstrates regular and prompt attendance and performs district attendance procedures.
14 Maintain confidentiality in the conduct of district business, act ethically, set priorities, and work well under pressure with attention to detail.
IS. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Principal or Superintendent of Schools
Education and Experience:
. A valid South Carolina license to practice as an Occupational Therapist thru South Carolina Labor Licensing Regulation
2. Graduate of an accredited program with a BS, MAIMS in Occupational Therapy.
3. Minimum (2) two years direct occupational therapy care in a variety of settings with a strong background in pediatric care in a school system setting.
4. Must have a current CPR certificatiom
5. Proficient in computers and word processing software; or any equivalent combination of training software and experience that provide required knowledge.
6. Supports the vision, mission and beliefs
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of general computer applications and their utilization as related to specific tasks and responsibilities.
2. Knows how to keep abreast of changes in policy, standards, procedures, and regulations pertinent to personnel and community related functions.
3. Thorough knowledge of business and medical terminology spelling, grammar, punctuation, possession of an excellent vocabulary and mathematical computation.

2. Must be able to change focus given added demands and or new responsibilities.
3. Written and verbal communication skills necessary to handle difficult and emotional situations. Strong organizational skills.
5. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily activities
6. Ability to operate general office equipment in the performance of daily activities.
Working Conditions:
1. Requires travel to requested locations as needed for student care and/or therapy
2. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
3. Physical demands are restricted to general office activities requiring movement/lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require meeting tight deadlines, considerable attention and working with both adults and students.
