The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP WM modules, a proven track record of handling complex customizations, and the ability to integrate WM with other SAP modules and external systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance warehouse operations, ensure system scalability, and support digital transformation initiatives. This person will be reporting to the SAP Technical Lead.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end development and customization of SAP ECC WM modules, including inbound/outbound processes, inventory management, picking/packing strategies, and warehouse task management.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex WM-related issues, including integration challenges with third-party systems (e.g., WMS interfaces, RFID, or automation tools).
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in SAP development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations (e.g., to S/4HANA), and testing phases, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design blueprints, test scripts, and user guides.
• Stay updated on SAP innovations, particularly in WM/EWM, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ECC development, with at least 5 years focused on Warehouse Management (WM) modules.
• Proven expertise in ABAP/4 programming, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Strong knowledge of WM configuration, including storage types, bin management, handling unit management (HUM), and wave management.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies such as ALE/IDOCs, PI/PO, CPI, or web services.
• Familiarity with warehouse automation tools, IoT integrations, or mobile applications for WM (e.g., RF devices).
• Prior involvement in full lifecycle SAP implementations, including blueprinting, realization, go-live, and hypercare support.
• SAP certification in WM or ABAP Development is highly desirable.
Key Skills
• Advanced proficiency in SAP ECC WM and related modules (MM, SD, IM).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment, managing multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of industry standards in supply chain and logistics (e.g., GS1, EDI).
