    TEKsystems (Honolulu, HI)


    Aloha! One of Hawaii's largest utility companies is seeking a Drafter to join their team. The main duty of this role will be to assist the Telecommunications team by drafting precise documents/drawings to help turn the ideas of engineers and architects into precise instructions for construction and manufacturing. He/she will mainly be using Microsoft Visio and Bluebeam. MicroStation experience is a bonus. A lot of the company's technical drawings are on MicroStation but the intent is to consolidate all documents into Microsoft Visio. Additionally, he/she will be adding files to a document management application, ProjectWise.

    Core Responsibilities

    -Use CAD software to translate sketches or concepts from architects and engineers into accurate technical plans

     

    -Calculate dimensions, materials, and procedures, ensuring drawings meet industry standards and regulations

     

    -Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to redefine designs and resolve technical issues.

    Basic Qualifications:

    - Microsoft Visio and Bluebeam proficient.

     

    - Prior utility experience with civil drafting (infrastructure), or electrical drafting (wiring systems)

     

    - Knowledge and/or experience with ProjectWise is preferably, but not required.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is set to start off as on-site, but has the potential to become mainly hybrid thereafter.

    This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
