    License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License required.Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required; or in lieu of bachelor's degree, will consider high school diploma and 4 additional years of related experience.Experience Qualifications: Five years supervisory or training experience in a related commercial or institutional service industries required, including but not limited to healthcare, hospitaltiy, food service, custodial equipment or product sales or distribution.Skills Qualifications: Knowledge of principles and practices in physical sciences, business administration, inventory, and operations management; ability to explain the fundamental chemical or mechanical properties of the supplies, tools, and equipment used in custodial practices; knowledge of electric, battery, and propane powered equipment including general operation and preventive and predictive maintenance; ability to perform, demonstrate, teach, and evaluate the custodial care procedures, skills, and tasks of the custodial programs; knowledge of federal, state, and local laws or regulations applicable to custodial operations; ability to create and implement training courses and professional learning to effectively teach technical material in the custodial services and equipment repair fields; ability to effectively lead, assess, develop, and supervise others; ability to work collaboratively with others, especially local school administrators and support staff; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present information of a detailed or technical nature in a clear and professional manner; ability to answer inquiries from a variety of audiences; and proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, web-browsing, and database skills required; and ability to learn and effectively use additional software applications including PeopleSoft, Maximo, and Lotus Notes preferred.Primary Responsibilities: Manage and continually improve the programs, projects, processes, and operations of the Custodial Services Office, including the Custodial Training, Equipment Repair, and Custodial Care Programs to better serve local schools and support facilities of the district.1. Manage and continually improve the Custodial Training Program and related projects, processes, and operations to better serve local schools and support facilities.2. Manage and continually improve the Equipment Repair Program and related projects, processes, and operations to better serve local schools and support facilities.3. Manage and continually improve the Custodial Care Program and related projects, processes, and operations to better serve local schools and support facilities.4. Assess and develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities of assigned personnel to effectively perform current and future job responsibilities.5. Develop recommendations for and maintain fiscal accountability of assigned budgets and assist with the evaluation, specification, bid, and purchase of materials, tools, and equipment to support ongoing operations and the capital construction program.6. Communicate regular status updates, results and performance of assigned operations with oral and written reports, and related charts, or graphs of key measurements and indicators, including use of available information for computer systems.7. Serve as the functional expert for the implementation, utilization, and ongoing development of the computer based tools essential to the functions of assigned operations.8. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and smell. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties.
