QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

+ Two year degree or higher or 60 credits toward a degree.

+ Strong reading, writing and math skills.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.

+ Ability to problem solve, be sensitive to the needs of academically challenged students.

+ Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.

+ Knowledge of discipline policies & procedures.

+ Ability to follow the teacher's plan & direction; monitor situation in the classroom & adjust accordingly.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.

+ Experience working with children.
