Job Description Summary
Responsible for supporting and maintaining the operation of infrastructure and IT environments. This includes troubleshooting network related issues, configuration support, and ensuring the reliability of the layer 2/3 systems. The ideal candidate should be well versed in network security, possess hands on experience with UTM firewalls, and have a strong foundation in industry standard tools such as Visio, Putty, Wireshark, Nmap and more.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
+ Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network related issues, both hardware and software, ensuring minimal downtime.
+ Layer 2 & Layer 3 Support: Provide troubleshooting support for routing and switching environments.
+ UTM Firewall Management: Work with UTM firewalls to update security and traffic polices, debug traffic flows and firewall rules.
+ Network Configuration Design and Validation: Review and validate network configurations to ensure they align with company standards and best practices.
+ Performance Monitoring: Utilize network monitoring tools to validate the health and performance of all network systems.
+ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate network documentation, including configurations and diagrams to accurately depict steady state information.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, vendors and customers located throughout the world.
+ Incident Response: Act as a point of contact for resolving network related incidents and outages. (There is no requirement for on call support)
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Certifications: At least CCNP(Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent certification. Certifications in security, OS, and automation are a plus.
+ Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a network support or TAC, ideally with exposure to enterprise or datacenter environments.
+ Strong understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies and protocols.
+ In-depth knowledge of TCP, UDP, Multicast, and Network Virtualization.
+ Vendor agonistic knowledge across firewall technologies.
+ Analytical problems solving skills.
+ Experience with network performance monitoring, scripting languages and automation (Docker, Python, Ansible) is a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex IT issues to nontechnical stakeholders.
Education Qualification
+ A 4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $185,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
