Special Education Teacher (K-1)
Schedule: AM/PM sessions (2.5 hours each) with a 90-minute lunch and planning period
Class Size: Approximately 8 students

What You’ll Do
+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with parents and team members.
+ Design engaging instruction for students with a wide range of learning, emotional, and physical disabilities.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
+ Prepare classrooms and materials to foster a positive and supportive environment.
+ Monitor student progress and adjust plans to meet evolving needs.
+ Mentor teaching assistants and support staff to ensure consistent student care.
+ Communicate regularly with families to celebrate successes and address challenges.
+ Guide students through grade transitions and life skills preparation.
What We’re Looking For
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Certification: Valid state teaching certificate (Special Education endorsement required; LBS1 or ECE Special Ed preferred).
+ Experience: Minimum of one year in a teaching environment (preferred).
+ Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and maintain accurate records.
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements.
