    Position Type: Full-Time | In-Person | Remainder of 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Compensation: $45/hr + Comprehensive Benefits: (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, professional development)

    What You’ll Do:

    + Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in specialized programs.

    + Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs.

    + Create a trauma-responsive, culturally affirming classroom environment.

    + Use data-driven strategies to support student growth and behavior.

    + Partner with families, caregivers, and community providers to ensure holistic support.

    What You’ll Need:

    + A valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (ABS, EBD, ASD, DCD, or similar).

    + Tier 3 or Tier 4 (Preferred)

    + Open to OFPs or Tier 2 if enrolled in a program or willing to enroll in a teacher prep program

    + Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral needs is highly valued.

    + A commitment to equity, inclusion, and restorative practices.

    + Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

    Additional Information:

    The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

    + Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
