The Physician Assistant provides medical services topatients of all ages under the direction of a physician; collects and documentspatient data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders andschedules laboratory studies and provides professional consultations and directpatient care services. The PhysicianAssistant works in all specialty and primary care areas, diagnosing andtreating common illnesses and performing minor procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Health Science field preferred, may berequired by state regulations or contract specifications

+ Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration or Licensefrom the New York state Medical Board

+ Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the NationalCommission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred; may be requiredby state regulations or contract specifications.

+ 3 years of primary care experience as a Physician's Assistant minimum required

+ BCLS certified required

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
