Description of Work Unit
The Office of Engagement and Extension ( OEE ) at Colorado State University serves as a statewide and global platform for responsive learning, innovation, and public impact. OEE houses the CSU Learning Innovation Team, which includes CSU Professional & Continuing Education, CSU Online, CSU Extension Programs, and OLLI . These units collaboratively advance CSU’s land-grant mission and strategic roadmap through dynamic partnerships, workforce-aligned education, and inclusive lifelong learning.
The CSU Learning Innovation Team designs and delivers educational programs that are research-informed, market-relevant, and accessible across communities, sectors, and stages of life. The team works across CSU colleges and divisions to co-create learning solutions that meet the needs of modern learners and support institutional growth.

Position Summary
The Program Manager, CSU Professional & Continuing Education, leads the planning, implementation, and growth of in-person and online noncredit courses and certificate programs within an assigned portfolio. This role is responsible for generating revenue by strategically expanding, enhancing, and maintaining noncredit programs delivered through CSU Professional & Continuing Education.
The Program Manager collaborates closely with partners, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop high-quality, sustainable, and targeted offerings for Professional & Continuing Education learners and to advocate for learner needs and quality offerings. Success in this role requires deep understanding of CSU Goals, partner goals, noncredit standards, and learner needs.
As a key representative of the CSU Learning Innovation Team and CSU Professional & Continuing Education, this position fosters strong internal and external relationships and exercises sound judgment to advance institutional goals. The role also oversees complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
This position is eligible for hybrid/in-office work.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, business, education, liberal arts, or related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in online/distance higher education innovation and management.
+ Experience working in program management, development, recruitment/retention role within a higher education distance education or continuing education unit.
+ Experience communicating, collaborating and problem solving with faculty and or external partners to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships.
+ Demonstrated ability to:
+ Align program strategy with institutional priorities and workforce needs.
+ Apply labor market data and stakeholder insight to shape offerings.
+ Operate effectively in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
+ Communicate effectively with leaders across sectors.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
+ The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the Learning Innovation Team will not sponsor a visa for this position.

+ Execute the development of noncredit, professional education programs and courses.
+ Oversee processes of instructional design, work with programming and track new development progress, manage the course development schedule in consultation with the director and the instructional-design team to achieve readiness prior to start of development.
+ Collaborate with subject matter expert to ensure content relevance
+ Provide program/course development support, oversight, communication with all stakeholders, and overall project management.
+ Manage digital badge and banner creation and publication.
+ Manage and support specified noncredit and digital badge program portfolio.
+ Communicate with CSU and external partners, gather and maintain program data, resolve issues and regularly assess the status of enrollments and marketing in programs and courses
+ Create enrollment and revenue reports for all noncredit /digital badge programs and report to partners for distribution/invoice compilation.
+ Write, develop, and track execution of contracts, SLAs, and agreements in collaboration with the Professional & Continuing Education team.
