    The Position

    The Senior Manager CM Sales Strategy and Engagement is responsible for overall Sales engagement management in support of the Cardiometabolic Field Teams. The overarching purpose is to strategically manage, coordinate, and deliver communication and engagement initiatives that support the Cardiometabolic (CM) sales organization, its leadership, and broader enterprise partners. This role will ensure that all field-facing communications are clear, timely, and aligned with organizational goals, driving engagement, operational efficiency. Responsible for follow-through, tracking, and participating in departmental projects and processes. Ensures field insights are built as part of all processes and communications before deployment to the field. Ensure proactive approach in working on and through field operation communications and process initiatives in support of the field needs

     

    Relationships

     

    Reports to the Director of Strategy and Engagement (Strategic Advisor). Works closely with various home office functions including Commercial Execution, Marketing, Finance, IT, Compliance, EE Team, FFE, etc. to achieve standardization of work, alignment and efficiencies with all field engagements Additional relationships include Field Directors and field and home office field support personnel.

    Essential Functions

    + MANAGEMENT OF FIELD ENGAGEMENTS AND PROJECTS

    + Manages look & feel of internal communication apparatus for all Cardiometabolic Field Teams

    + Work closely with Sales Operations and Sales Execution to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels

    + Foster strategic partnerships with Therapeutic Areas (TAs) to address communication needs and facilitate impactful brand communications, collaborating with the CM Sales Execution and Operations teams for effective content authorship.

    + Utilize strong writing and content development skills to create clear, compelling messages that enhance stakeholder understanding and engagement

    + Works closely with Sales Execution team and Operations team to coordinate communication alignment and timing

    + Supports TAs, Execution and Operations functions with project management and authorship of written communications

    + Responsible for generating & disseminating field insights to appropriate stakeholders in regard to field processes, technology in order to enhance field productivity

    + Works closely with Commercial Execution to translate Area execution strategy and initiatives to the appropriate communication platforms on an ongoing basis.

    + Responsible for leading optimization projects to enhance processes and platform capabilities

    + Responsible for working with the AD - Field Communications to ensure flawless coordination and tracking of various email dissemination needs (via Field Operations owned mailboxes)

    + Working with external vendors on all system requirements and evolution of system capabilities

    + Identifies project opportunities related to process improvement and pursue them from idea to post implementation

    + Communication to all stakeholders (Field & Home Office) on process to submit requests and for internal stakeholders to follow through on the requests

    + PLATFORM AND MEETING MANAGEMENT

    + Sales Communication Platform Improvement and Innovation: Ensure links and content are functional and up-to-date. Conduct editorial meetings to keep banner content current. Collaborate with brand teams for updates on their pages and coordinate with appropriate vendors

    + Creates and maintains field facing web meetings inclusive of setting up technical needs, sending out invites, and facilitation of the meeting.

    + Responsible for creating Q&A reports and disseminating webinar replay links and resources to internal stakeholders and field force.

    + Leads effort to educate Field Teams on internal web meeting capabilities, features and benefits to aid in the adoption of better practices across all Field stakeholders.

    + When needed, will pursue ad hoc web meeting support to ensure Sales leadership has confidence in the overall meeting implementation.

    + PROCESS SUPPORT

    + Prepare and deliver meeting agenda, reports and updates for department meetings, Execution/Operations weekly touch points and monthly updates, and other activities

    + Leads the Field Ride Process to ensure Home Office is able to align with Field Sales teams within the field when appropriate.

    + Distribute all field surveys (e.g. POA/other field meeting) & report results to internal stakeholders

    + Develops project plans and/or other tactics to ensure projects are documented, executed, and sustained, as needed

    + Guardian of the projects list for the Communications Team and provides timely updates consistently.

    + Participates in special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    + A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.

    + Requires 7+ years of experience in field sales support and engagement, communications, projects, operations and/or process improvement

    + Pharmaceutical experience a plus.

    + Demonstrated computer skills along with an intermediate understanding of technology development processes. Experience running and analyzing data a plus.

    + Attention to detail and high-quality results required.

    + Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.

    + Ability to independently pursue project work and develop recommendations.

    + Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    + Strong understanding of Field systems and day to day functions

    + Prior experience in working with agency vendors preferred

     

    The base compensation range for this position is $116,810 to $216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
